Course Description:
This presentation provides caregivers with the knowledge and awareness to comprehend the basics to mental health and mental illness. Has an emphasis on information that can assist a caregiver’s role when supporting and encouraging an individual towards recovery.
The second presentation provides caregivers with an overview of the Mental Health Act of Ontario and the knowledge that governs the roles and responsibilities of Physicians, Justice of the Peace and Police Officers when an individual has a mental health crisis and is involved with police through the healthcare system.
