Mental Health Act of Ontario
This presentation provides caregivers with an overview of the Mental Health Act of Ontario and a basic knowledge that governs the roles and responsibilities of Physicians, Justice of the Peace and Police Officers when an individual has a mental health crisis and is involved with police through the healthcare system.

Managing Emotional Crisis & Police Roles
This presentation provides caregivers with awareness and skills to help support an individual’s mental health recovery through management of their emotions when communicating and boundary setting. It delivers insight to understand and de-escalate crisis situations and offers caregivers the basic understanding to the function of police and the criminal justice system.
